Who we are

PhotoTeva Ltd. (Company No. 514883289), a company incorporated in Israel and part of the Galitz Group, trading as Polar Table, is the controller of the personal data described in this policy.

Our contact office is at Avenida Prado Norte 550, Lomas de Chapultepec, Mexico City.

PhotoTeva Ltd.'s privacy officer is Meirav Kaspi.

Questions about this policy or about your data: privacidad@paseospolares.com or info@phototeva.co.il.

What we collect

When you submit a form on this site or contact us via WhatsApp, we collect:

  • Full name

  • Phone / WhatsApp number

  • Email address

  • The expedition and season you are interested in

We also collect technical data automatically: IP address, browser type, pages viewed and the source that brought you to the site. This is covered in the cookies section.

We do not collect special category data through this site.

What we ask for when you book

If you decide to book, we send you a registration form and a contract. There we ask for the information needed to run your expedition:

  • Identification details: date of birth, sex, nationality and passport details (number, issuing country, issue and expiry dates), and where needed a copy of your passport

  • Dietary preferences, allergies and food intolerances, so our chefs and the vessel can prepare your meals safely

  • Basic fitness information (for example, whether you can walk several kilometres on your own), because some activities require it

  • Boot size, for expeditions with landings

  • Details of children travelling with you, always with the consent of their parent or legal guardian

Allergy and health-related information is special category data. We process it only with your explicit consent, only to run your trip and keep you safe, and we share it only with those who need it to serve you.

Why we use it, and on what legal basis

  • Responding to your enquiry and sending you expedition information: Legitimate interest, and steps prior to entering a contract at your request

  • Preparing quotes and managing your booking and expedition: Performance of a contract

  • Dietary, allergy and fitness information: Explicit consent

  • Sending you our email newsletter about new expeditions, seasons and availability: Consent

  • Measuring advertising performance and site analytics: Consent

  • Meeting legal, tax and accounting obligations: Legal obligation

Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of what we did before you withdrew it, and it does not affect the service we provide you.

Email newsletter

We only send our newsletter if you subscribe and confirm your email address (double opt-in). It is sent through an external email marketing platform. Every email includes a link to unsubscribe at any time.

Payments

This site does not take payments. When you book, PhotoTeva Ltd. sends you a payment link from an external payment processor. We do not store your card details.

Artificial intelligence

We use AI assistants to reply faster on WhatsApp and email. Quotes and bookings are always reviewed by a member of our team; we do not make automated decisions that have a legal or similarly significant effect on you.

Photos and video during the expedition

Photographers and drones may be present during our expeditions. We only publish photos in which you appear with your consent. Drones are used for landscape shots, not to film any individual.

Who we share it with

We share personal data with the following categories of recipients, limited to what is necessary:

  • Our own offices and staff outside your country of residence. PhotoTeva Ltd. operates from Israel, and reservations and administration staff based there access the data needed to manage your trip.

  • Expedition partners and travel suppliers (vessel, chefs and kitchen team, guides, airlines, hotels, insurers) once you move toward a booking.

  • Technology providers used to manage our relationship with you: contact management, messaging, email, payment and invoicing platforms. They act as processors and handle your data only on our instructions.

  • Authorities, where legally required or to obtain travel permits.

We do not sell your personal data.

International transfers

We are an Israeli company with operations in Mexico, and our expeditions run in the Arctic and Antarctic through international suppliers. Your data may therefore be transferred outside the European Economic Area, including to Israel, Mexico and the United States. Where that happens, we rely on the safeguards permitted under applicable law, such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent. To exercise any of these, write to privacidad@paseospolares.com or to our privacy officer, Meirav Kaspi, at info@phototeva.co.il.

We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. If you are in the EEA or the UK and you are not satisfied with our response, you have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Cookies

This site uses cookies and similar technologies to function, to understand how the site is used, and to measure our advertising, including third-party tools from Meta and Google.

Cookies that are not strictly necessary are only set if you accept them in the banner shown when you arrive, where you can also reject them. You can change your choice at any time through that banner, or block and clear cookies through your browser settings. Rejecting advertising cookies does not stop you from using the site.

How long we keep it

  • Contact details: for as long as we are in touch, or until you ask us to delete them.

  • Passport copy: deleted from our working systems within six months after the end of your trip.

  • Passport details and signed contract: kept after the trip for future bookings, record-keeping and legal defence, with restricted access.

  • Payment and accounting records: up to seven years, as required by tax law.

After these periods, data is deleted or anonymised.

Changes

We may update this policy. Changes are published on this page with an updated date.
